The Los Angeles Police Department is gearing up for yet another lawsuit due to the negligence of their officers. Bethany Farber says she has sued the LAPD after she says she was placed under arrest at LAX before she was set to head to Mexico to meet up with her brother. She was told she was being arrested for a statewide warrant out of Texas. The catch is, authorities were looking for a completely different Bethany Farber, and the one they just arrested had never even set foot in Texas.
But that didn't stop authorities at TSA and LAPD from botching the arrest. Farber was booked by LAPD and spent the next two weeks in jail until it was confirmed she was not the Bethany Farber they were looking for.
Here's the thing, the two Bethany Farbers look NOTHING alike. Anyone with a pair of eyes and a copy of her drivers license could come to this conclusion in minutes. But of course LAPD doesn't have that sort of time.
To make things even worse, Farber was informed that her grandmother has suffered a stroke from the stress of her granddaughter's situation and died a few days later as a result.
Farber and her lawyers filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, LAPD has said they will not comment on ongoing litigation.
