“This really hurts. I want all of you guys to know that,” Rodriguez told Seacrest while holding back tears. “It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my entire life.” She announced that she will be leaving On Air with Ryan Seacrest to pursue her many other passions.
Patty also wrote a beautiful letter that was shared on-air that brought everyone to tears. “You listening right now, you gave me the courage to go after my dreams everyday,” Patty graciously penned about the listeners of the show. “You gave this daughter of immigrants the courage to be no one else but me.”
Patty is the co-founder of her bilingual children's publishing company, Lil Libros, and plans to focus her time on this successful venture she and her co-founder Ariana Stein founded in 2014, as well as pursue the film and TV industry by writing and producing.
She is also hoping to spend more time with her two sons, Alexander, 10, and Oliver, 6, and is looking forward to getting to drop them off at school in the mornings.
Patty’s last day with Ryan Seacrest will be February 18.
