Forbes Released Their "America's Most Innovative Leaders" List & I'm Lit Up

Forbes released their list of 110 of "America's Most Innovative Leaders." Four men - Jeff Dyer, Nathan Furr, Mike Hendron and Curtis Lefrandt teamed up and measured the top CEO's in the following areas: 1) Media reputation for innovation, 2) Social connections, 3) Track record for value creation and 4) Investor expectations.

So, if go through the list you'll find #1's Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, no surprise. Mark Zuckerberg is right behind them, while Reed Hastings from Netflix came in 5th on the list. I kept going down the list and it took me until $75 to see a woman! It is Ross CEO Barbara Rentler. She happens to be the ONLY woman on the list.

Out of 100 individuals, the list named 99 men and only 1 woman. Naturally, Twitter EXPLODED. One user even pointed out the salt in the wound, they had photos of ALL the CEO's, but Barbara's photo was missing. Instead it was just a silhouette of a dude.

Forbes editor Randall Lane did respond to all the backlash because it got pretty gnarly! He pointed out the bigger issue here, "Women as we all know, are poorly represented at the top of the largest corporations (just 5% of the S&P 500)...so women never had much of a chance here."

Really? I would like to introduce Randall to the following women: Lynsi Snyder, CEO of In-N-Out Burger, started working at In-N-Out in Redding, CA and then at 35-years-old took control as CEO. Cathy Engelbert, CEO of Deloitte, first woman CEO of A US big four accounting firm. A moment described as cracking the glass ceiling. Dr. Lisa Su, from Advanced Micro Devices, she's known for her encouraging management and inclusive culture. And Anne Wojcicki, co-founder and CEO of 23andMe, which TIME named, "A genius company."

In this day and age can we do better?! There are SO many other modern women who could have made that list!
