The Los Angeles Clippers completed a multiyear project to help restore and revamp hundreds of basketball courts around L.A.
The Clippers Community Court project helped renovate 350 public basketball courts throughout the L.A. City Parks, which was made possible by a gift from the Clippers and the Ballmer family back in 2018. Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer said that L.A. now has a newly renovated court that is within two miles of where residents live.
Mayor Eric Garcetti was present for the ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday at the Obama Sports Center at Rancho Cienega Park to celebrate the completion of this project. Garcetti says that he hopes the renovated and revamped parks can enhance the quality of life, create new opportunities and promote healthier communities for people in the area. Click here for more.
