The storms didn't hit us in Tulsa until the middle of the night, but things got CRAZY at Winstar Casino in Thackerville on Saturday evening before the scheduled Backstreet Boys concert when an awning was pushed over (from the wind, not dumb people) onto a crowd of BSB fans, injuring 14.
Here's some of the aftermath.
Video from a friend who is at the Backstreet Boys concert at Winstar Casino. She says an outdoor awning fell on people, about a dozen ambulances responded with people being taken out on stretchers. pic.twitter.com/ZmYIRLEtKz— Allison Harris (@AllisonFox4News) August 19, 2018
Kevin from BSB kept fans updated, eventually saying the show couldn't happen because of the weather, but to hold onto tickets.
Update... unfortunately, due to damage sustained in the storm earlier this evening, we are unable to perform the show tonight. Safety is always #1. Keep your tickets because, Backstreet WILL BE BACK! ✌🏻❤️— Kevin Richardson (@kevinrichardson) August 19, 2018
