See, this is how you DON'T festival. The Wireless Festival in the UK promoted (up until the day-of) that DJ Khaled would be the headliner to finish off the entire Festival -- however, just HOURS before showtime, a Tweet was sent out that Khaled would NOT be able to make it.
Due to travel issues DJ Khaled will not be performing but we are working on something special that won’t disappoint...— Wireless Festival (@WirelessFest) July 8, 2018
But that tweet went out right around the same time that Khaled was posting vacation pics with him poolside with his family, so it seemed pretty suspect. Once they realized they were absolute sucknuggets for trying to toss the blame Khaled's way, the Wireless Festival account told the full story.
Due to a scheduling conflict related to filming of the The Four, DJ Khaled was not able to commit to perform at Wireless Festival. Although we have known for a few months and tried to make it work, it wasn’t possible.— Wireless Festival (@WirelessFest) July 8, 2018
We take responsibility for not telling fans sooner and want all Khaled’s fans in UK to know he truly looks forward to coming to UK to perform soon.— Wireless Festival (@WirelessFest) July 8, 2018
So, as much as I think DJ Khaled is overpaid since he literally does nothing but scream out "We The Best Music" and his name more than Jason Derulo in a Jason Derulo song -- don't hate on Khaled. Hate on the Wireless Festival.
