A violent altercation over a parking space erupted in Queens, New York, involving Jada McPherson, a 21-year-old college student, and a mother-daughter duo, Andreea Dumitru and Sabrina Starman. The incident, captured on video, showed McPherson being attacked by Dumitru and Starman, who allegedly used racial slurs and physical violence. The altercation began when McPherson attempted to park in a spot the duo was saving outside their home on Putnam Avenue. The situation escalated when an unidentified man joined the fray, blocking McPherson's car with a garbage can.

The video of the incident went viral, leading to a community rally in support of McPherson. According to New York Post, around 100 people gathered to show solidarity with McPherson, wearing T-shirts that read "Protect Black Women." Adis Kurbegovic, a neighbor who attempted to intervene, was praised for his efforts to de-escalate the situation.

McPherson, who declined medical attention initially, plans to move out of the neighborhood due to the incident. Dumitru and Starman were arrested and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree harassment. Their lawyer, Mahmoud Rabah, stated they plan to fight the charges in court, arguing they have received death threats since the video was posted.
