It's been more than 20 years since *NSYNC dropped their last album and fans are still begging for a full reunion. While the iconic group previously reunited for a couple new songs, including "Paradise" from Justin Timberlake's 2024 album Everything I Thought It Was, fans want more. Now, Joey Fatone is sharing what needs to happen to make that dream a reality.
Fatone recently explained to People what exactly would help get the band back together, which includes fellow members Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick.
"Of course, the big question is, is *NSYNC ever getting back together? The answer is, we haven't had that conversation yet," he said.
All of them have busy schedules that makes meeting in person more difficult, and Fatone believes this kind of conversation should happen face to face.
"The five of us need to get together, and that day has not happened yet. Everybody's everywhere in the world, and I think it's important to get everybody in-person as opposed to just getting on a chat or on a phone call," he said, adding, "People always think, 'Oh, it's easy. Just get on the phone and talk.' There's a lot of things that have to become fortuitous for that — a lot of commitment, a lot of time. Everybody has families. Most people have kids, so then you have to take that into consideration."
Even so, Fatone still has hope for a reunion in the future.
"It's one of those things that hopefully, *NSYNC does get back together," he said.
