Miley Cyrus is gearing up to release her forthcoming album, Something Beautiful, and sang a new track from the record for the first time in a room with her exes on Saturday (May 3).
According to E!News, the "Malibu" songstress surprised New York fans with a special performance of her new song "More to Lose," and gave a short speech about a few individuals in attendance.
"I have a lot of people that I’ve known and loved for a very long time in this room. Even a couple of exes," she jokingly explained before revealing this was the first time she would sing the song live.
The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker (who did not reveal the names of her former flames who were present to watch her sing) belted out lyrics from the new track, highlighting one line in an Instagram Post from the special show.
"You’re looking like a movie star in a worn-out coat, so I throw away my mind. It happens all the time." Cyrus wore her hair down with a black shirt and gold accessories.
Something Beautiful, featuring "More to Lose" and previously released track "End of the World," is slated for release on May 30. The highly-anticipated record will feature 13 original songs along with a short film set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.
