Jaden Smith Teases New Snapchat Series On Voting & Racial Justice

Jaden Smith and Snapchat are joining forces to urge young people to vote!

The rapper will host a new show with the social platform called The Solution Committee, which finds Smith engaging celebrity friends and activists alike on our nationโ€™s most pressing issues, from voting to racial justice.

The showโ€™s motto is clear:ย โ€œWe are the only ones who can save us.โ€ To get viewers excited about the series, Snapchat unveiled a one-minute trailer for the series. (Watch it above.)ย

โ€œHistorically, people between the ages of 18 to 23 have been less likely to vote,โ€ Jaden expressed in a statement. โ€œThis is because a lot of young people feel like they donโ€™t have the information or know where to get it. This show is about educating the youth and making sure they feel empowered and ready to vote.โ€

Westbrook Media โ€” launched by Jadenโ€™s parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith โ€” produces the unscripted political series, premiering exclusively on Snapchat on September 21. Among the celebrity guests slated to appear on the show include Hailey Baldwin, Willow (Jadensโ€™ sister), Common, Janelle Monรกe, Phoebe Robinson, Lena Waithe, Bella Hadid, and Yara Shahidi.

Whatโ€™s more, following each episode, Snapchat users can use a swipe-up feature that will direct them to register to vote.

The first two episodes center on โ€œHow to Voteโ€ and โ€œThe Power of Your Vote,โ€ with Bieber and Shahidi joining Jaden in discussion with Wake Up To Politics founder Gabe Fleisher and Womenโ€™s March Youth Empower national student leader Winter BreeAnne.
