Hallmark Channel Finally Addresses Lori Loughlin Firing

Celebrities Visit Hallmark's "Home & Family"

Fans of Hallmark Channel's original series When Calls the Heart were treated to another Christmas movie this year. Though Home for Christmas was certainly a present for dedicated fans, Lori Loughlin's presence was definitely missed. Loughlin played beloved character Abigail Stanton on the series, however, she was let go after her involvement in the college admissions scandal was exposed.

Though Loughlin hasn't appeared on the show in some time, her presence was sorely missed during When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas. This led Entertainment Tonight to ask executive producer Alfonso Moreno about Loughlin's character in a recent interview. Here's what the outlet asked about this missing Abigal Stanton: “This was the first When Calls The Heart Christmas movie without Abigail. Can you please offer a message to fans who miss her?”

Loughlin's name wasn't mentioned in the question and Moreno’s answer followed suit. “I think the town of Hope Valley, like the fans of the show, miss Abigail," he responded. "For both, it is about embracing the past, but learning to move forward.”

Fans aren't the only ones who miss Loughlin's presence on the show. Her cast members have shown consistent support to their former co-star since she was fired from the show, as well as all her other Hallmark Channel projects. On Loughlin's birthday in July, When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow shared a sweet message for Loughlin, writing "happy birthday to my forever friend with a heart of gold. Love you!"
