BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Robert Kraft praised his quarterback Tom Brady, and convinced legendary New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan to wear a Patriots AFC Championship hat on 'Good Morning America' Wednesday.

The retired defender and the longtime NFL owner traded barbs about Super Bowl wins (Strahan was an integral part of both Giants teams that bested New England) and looked forward to Brady's ninth trip to the big game. By the end of the segment, Strahan agreed to wear the Patriots AFC Championship cap out of "respect" for the organization.

Kraft went on to praise Brady's genuine personality and selfless attitude, citing a heartwarming moment after the passing of Kraft's wife, Myra.

"He's the same person today as he was when he was fourth on the depth chart back there in 2000," Kraft said. "When my wife of blessed memory passed away almost eight years ago, he was there for me in a way only my sons were and the guys in the locker room were."

"He cares, and he connects. And I think he's able to do that in the huddle, even with guys half his age," the 77-year-old owner continued. "They see how hard he works and what he does, and how genuine he is, and how he's selfless and puts team first. I think that definitely spreads."
