BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Tom Brady and Nick Foles connected last night in Foxborough for the first time since the Patriots fell to the Eagles in the Super Bowl six months ago and, that's right, they shook hands.

For some reason, this had been a widely reported story, but Brady's just happy to move on after some suggested he was avoiding the Super Bowl MVP following that loss.

"I did hear that, I know that was kind of made-up to me, because that was never my intention that--I wouldn't be a bad sport," Brady said. "I have a lot of respect for Nick and Carson, all those quarterbacks, that team, and the way they played. They're a great team. I know how hard it is to win that last game, they did it, and congrats to them--but we're on to 2018. We have our goals ahead of us. We're going to go out and try to put together a good year."

Nick, you were never alarmed by the lack of contact with Tom. But, now that you've spoken, feeling pretty good?

"There's a lot of craziness," Foles said. "I mean, I've always respected Tom. I've met Tom several times. It was great to see him. I think everyone made a bigger deal. At the end of the day, he's a great dude. He's a heck of a player, one of the greatest of all time. You say hi, that's what quarterbacks do after games, and everyone made a big deal at the Super Bowl, but the Super Bowl's chaos after. But he was nice, as he always is, and I wish him the best of luck this season."

Same here.
