After a petition was signed by multiple Hampton citizens to attempt to ban smoking on all Hampton beaches, a ruling was made that a law wouldn't be put in place, but instead, an advisory of no smoking would be put in place for 2 Hampton Town beaches -- Plaice Cove and Sun Valley.
But literally all it's going to be is one "No Smoking" sign put up at both locations, without any police enforcement. So, while the signs say "no smoking" -- there's really nothing stopping you. If you're going to, at least don't be a jerkface and have the smoke blow into peoples' faces. Or we'll call Jaws up to bite you in the fingers.
