Bill Cosby Makes 1st Stand-Up Show Appearance Since 2015 Before His Retrial

Bill Cosby performed at a surprise stand-up show on Monday (Jan. 22) night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

According to Vox, the show took place at the LaRose Jazz Club and it honored jazz drummer Tony Williams. Cosby even played the drums a little bit, himself, at the event. The now-disgraced comedian hasn't made a public appearance since 2015. However, he didn't seem to miss a beat because approximately 60 people attended his gig and it looked like they enjoyed the show.

Many might say that the timing of this show was rather awkward. We're now in the height of the #MeToo movement with women and men coming forward to call out sexual predators in and out of the workplace for harassing and assaulting them. On top of that, Cosby will be facing a retrial in April 2018 for the alleged drugging and assaulting of former Temple University women’s basketball coach Andrea Constand.

However, Cosby didn't mention any of his legal issues at his show. Instead, he made jokes about his childhood and his family. Take a look at some photos and videos of Cosby's low-key return to the comedy scene below.
