Recall Affects 5.7M Kids Water Bottles

Water bottle maker company Contigo has announced a second recall of 5.7 million children's water bottles after their first recall's replacement lid was found to be a choking hazard. 427 reports were made to the company about the replacement lid's spout detaching and another 27 reports involved children choking on the detached spouts. If you have purchased a Contigo children's water bottle from a big box chain like Walmart between 2018 and 2020 it's recommended that you stop using them immediately and contact Contigo for a new water bottle. Is it alarming that this is the second recall on this children's water bottle? Do you have any of the bottles at your home?
